A Illustrator's Journey

Identifying Tools and Materials  01/05/2018 'Find a range of illustrators that use a particular medium. Catalogue the illustrators according to similarities in a way that they use tools and materials. How do they distort or exaggerate the representation of elements in their work? How do they communicate through use of metaphor or symbols? Choose one image that you most appreciate visually. Ask yourself questions such as; How are colour, tone and texture used to evoke the mood or convey an idea? Assignment 3 Feedback 15/04/2018   After reading through my feedback for all Assignments 3 exercises and the assignment itself I am very pleased with my feedback, It is all positive and I have developed well since my last assignment.   I am now being considered for assessment which is a massive step from my last feedback which suggested I take another course in drawing. You can choose: Early Music Concert   Jazz Evening   Pop Group The finished poster will be reproduce in A3 size, but you can work at the size, in proportion, that you feel most comfortable with.   The poster will include the title of the event, the date, time, place and any other information you think appropriate. Making a Mock-Up 07/03/2018 ' For this exercise you are going to mock-up a book cover. From your book shelves or from the library choose a book title that appeals to you. Read the blurb on the back of the book        (or the whole book if you have time). You may have already done an illustration you can use or you may be inspired to make a new one. If you are using one you have already done you may need to modify it in some way. You may need to play with the colours, edit or adjust the composition or alter the size and scale. Don't make changes to the original.   Either copying the design of the cover and adding your illustration or design to the cover from scratch, make sure that you can incorporate the title, author and publisher's details.
