Assignment 3 Feedback

  After reading through my feedback for all Assignments 3 exercises and the assignment itself I am very pleased with my feedback, It is all positive and I have developed well since my last assignment.

  I am now being considered for assessment which is a massive step from my last feedback which suggested I take another course in drawing. I have progressed with my observational skills and my perspective to see from other peoples views and use that to my advantage for example I have this time not just landed on the first design that I have created I have progressed my designs and also chose what would look good for an audience and not just for myself.

  Some of my work looks professional which is a personal proud moment for me, this feedback was on the Exercise: Giving Instructions.


  I really enjoyed this exercise as I could create something not just on paper but something different and I really like my end result. 

  I have some areas to work on which are: Type which is my constant area of improvement but if I keep experimenting and researching different illustrators that have used type I should be able to crack this at some point. 
  I am also to carry out more research of different illustrators separately to my exercise work or assignment work to develop a more understanding of type an to look at other illustrators work. 
  My tutor has also requested that she sees more observational drawings that I do in my own time, this will help develop my skills and I agree. 

  Overall I am very pleased with my feedback, at first I was dreading it and was wondering what it would be but I had nothing to worry about and its give me that extra determined boost.

What are the main points? How many stages are there? Working at a fairly large scale, work out the space needed for each step. Try as many possibilities as you can. Exercise: History of Illustration Part 3

My Illustrations       For my first exercise I had to draw two an Illustration in the style of the Artist I had picked from the list which was E. H. Shepard and one in the contemporary artist that I had chosen which was Patrick Hruby.    As I read the exercise my first thought was 'Okay this could be great' but then as I started to think it became difficult as I didn't know what to draw! So I looked back at all my past drawings and I found what they had all in common was Nature.. I look drawing animals, plants etc.    First I looked at how E.H. Shepard had done his drawings, fine lined with a pen, Fun Colours and the characters had there personality. So I created my own little creature...   I used for this illustration Pin Fine Line Pens and Moz Art Water Coloured Pens, I wanted to use E. H. Shepard style of Art but still incorporate my own style into the drawing to. I think the colours are bright to make it a light picture and a few dark bits
